Portland :)

Just recently Raya and I were on another adventure. This time it was to Portland, OR. Here we spent 13 days with her Aunt Kyla and Uncle Erick. Also Grandma and Grandpa came for part of the time so the whole family could be together. 🙂 It was such a great trip. While there we were able to see a good friend of mine Angela and her husband and daughter who I hadn’t seen in 2 years. Such  beautiful family.

The first part of the adventure was Raya’s first plane ride. Me and the little one faced this hurdle alone, and she was such a little angel. It was a long day but we got through it and Raya was her happy wonderful self, flashing little smiles at everyone that looked her way.

There was so much to do in Portland. We went to see a bunch of the food carts and ate some Georgian food for the first time which was so tasty. Portland is known for all it’s amazing food and we did a darn good job at trying some of the best of it in the short time we were there. Raya and I got to see where Kyla lives and works. She has this cute little apartment right in the northwest downtown area and she works at the Nike Headquarters which is where we took Raya swimming for the first time. She loved it. well, actually that’s a lie. I don’t think she really knew how she felt about it, she didn’t mind getting dunked by Momma though.

Also while in Portland Raya saw the world’s smallest park, Mill Ends Park and her first waterfall, Mulnomah Falls. There was so much more that we did and I could go on for a while but I wont. In conclusion we had such a good time and can’t wait for the next big adventure. That is after Mommy gets some good solid down time…….. 🙂

  1. Words can’t even begin to explain how happy I am that you all came out to visit. Now when Raya grows up, we can tell her all about the time she came and stayed in my little apartment. It’s moments and trips like that, that make me realize how lucky I am to be apart of such a loving family. Thank you so much for coming out to visit! Love you both higher than the sky!!!!!
